Nuwara-Eliya is a small city located in the center of mountain tea plantations at 1884 meters above sea level, it is a resort with the comfortable climate and fresh mountain air. This city is also called “Little England” due to its buildings in British colonial style surrounded by gardens with English lawns.
On our way to Nuwara-Eliya we will see beautiful waterfalls, meadows and valleys and magnificent tea plantations.
During excursion we will visit the oldest Tea factory in Sri Lanka. We will see tea production process at the tea center founded in 1841, get acquainted with the main types of tea and taste pure Ceylon tea.
The tour starts at around 6 am, we return to your hotel by about 8 pm (the day before the tour we will let you know the pick-up time from your hotel). We arrange tours with departure from the hotels located on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, in the cities of Wadduwa, Waskaduwa, Kalutara, Panadura, Beruwala, Aluthgama, Bentota.
Tour price
Tour price depends on the number of participants. For example, if 2 persons participate the tour price would be 100,00 € for 1 person. Price for 1 child aged less than 12 is 40,00 €.
The price includes:
- Transfer by A/C car or minivan;
- Entrance tickets to the sights specified in the tour program;
Not included:
- Entrance tickets and transfer if you wish to visit the places outside the tour program;
- Meals, drinks and your private expenses.
The advance payment 20 eur per 1 person will guarantee your reservation of the tour.
Upon receipt of the advance payment we will send the order confirmation to your e-mail. While making the reservation, please specify in the field “Additional Notes” the number of participants, tour date, phone number of the contact person and other information you consider essential. The rest amount you can pay before the tour starts by cash (we accept Sri Lankan rupees, US dollars or EURO). If you wish to pay for all the trip by credit card, just let us know about that and we will send you all necessary information for the payment.
Nuwara Eliya is considered to be the tea capital of Sri Lanka. Due to the most favorable climate for tea cultivation the best tea in the world grows on the hillsides of Nuwara-Eliya area.
Mountain regions of Sri Lanka are very famous for falls. According to the LCWF (Lanka Council of Waterfalls) there are 382 falls of various height in Sri Lanka, 75 of them are located around Nuwara-Eliya and 9 of these falls are considered to be among 25 of the best falls in the country.
We will see 2 very beautiful falls – Devon Falls, height 97 meters and St. Clair’s Falls, height 80 meters.
